Introduction
The “Attestations Manager” enables users to assign sets of attestations to Corterum users, to specify the users who should receive notifications about the sets of attestations which have been assigned, and to set deadlines by which attestation requests must be actioned.
How to assign an attestation set to a user
First, click Administration > Attestation Manager > ‘plus’ sign.
You will be presented with the “Create New Attestation” screen. The process to assign a set of attestations to a user is as follows:
Select the set of attestations you wish to assign to a user.
Select the user(s) to which the attestations are to be assigned.
Select the user(s) which are to receive notifications about the attestations.
Select a deadline within which the attestations are to be provided.
Click “save”.
In this example, the “Conduct Rules” set of attestations is being assigned to Andrew Bailey in order to be actioned. The admin user (“fcaadmin”) will be notified when Andrew Bailey has performed the tasks required of him.
When the attestation set has been assigned, a record is created on the admin user’s “Attestation Manager” screen, as shown below. We can see:
The name of the attestation set that has been assigned.
The current status of the attestation set (“Awaiting response” means that the user to which the attestations have been assigned has not yet actioned the request).
The user to which the attestations have been assigned.
The deadline by which the user is required to action the attestations.
How to action an attestation request
The attestation request will appear in the “My Attestations” section of Andrew Bailey’s user account, as shown below.
Click “Workbench”.
Click “My Attestations”.
Outstanding attestations (i.e. those requiring action) are displayed on the dashboard.
Completed attestations can also be viewed (via the second tab).
Click on the ellipsis to open the attestation.
Once the attestation has been opened, the user can:
Provide the answers to the questions which have been assigned to the user.
Provide any additional information which the user may feel is necessary to fully explain answers that have been provided.
The answer set can be saved as a draft, allowing the user to return later.
Alternatively, the answer set can be submitted back to the admin user for review.
Once an attestation has been submitted to the admin user for review, its status is updated for the user (in this case, Andrew Bailey).
….and for the admin user [1]. The admin user can then open the attestation to review the responses received [2].
Once the attestation set has been opened, the admin user is provided with a summary of the attestations made (under the “Details” tab).
Under the “Attestations” tab, the admin user can also review each individual attestation in more detail, should he/she wish to. The admin user will be able to see:
The attestation the user was asked to provide.
The response given by the user.
Any explanatory notes provided by the user.
The admin user will also be able to comment on any issues that arise [4].
Once satisfied with the responses which the user has provided, under the “Configure Attestations” tab, the admin user can change the status of the attestation set to read “Accepted as complete” [1]. Remember to click “save” [2].
Once approved, the attestation set disappears from the list of “Outstanding Attestations”…
…and is logged in the list of “Complete Attestations”.
The outstanding attestation set also disappears from the user’s dashboard…
…and is logged into the list of “Complete Attestations” for the user.
