Recording decisions taken by senior managers

This article will show you how to use Corterum to manage a register of decisions taken by Senior Managers.

  1. Click WORKBENCH and then click DATASETS.

  2. Then click SM&CR.

  3. Then choose Senior Managers Regime.

  4. Then click on Senior Manager 'Reasonable Steps'.

  5. Then select Senior Managers Decisions Record.

  6. A list of any staff members for which you have recorded decisions will appear.

  7. To amend an existing register of decisions for a given senior manager, click on their name and in the pop-up window that appears, select EDIT. Then edit the data as needed. You can follow on from step 9 below as a guide.

  8. To add a record of reasonable steps taken for a new staff member click the + symbol.

  9. A new pop-up window will appear,

  10. This pop-up is in the form of a table dataset <Link> where every individual reasonable step is recorded as a row in the table.

  11. Select the staff member to whom this record pertains from the dropdown list.

  12. Enter the date that a particular decision was taken.

  13. Under 'Title', provide a title for the decision.

  14. Under 'Summary' describe the decision that has been taken.

  15. Using the dropdown box under 'Present', select the senior managers that were involved in making the decision and present when it was agreed. you can select more than one if required.

  16. Under 'Status' select the relevant outcome from the dropdown list.

  17. If the relevant status is not listed, select 'Other' and type the status in the text box to the right of the dropdown.

  18. You can also upload any supporting documents (or view/remove any already uploaded) by clicking the button under 'Documents'.

  19. If you want to add another row to input details of another reasonable step - click the 'ADD ROW' button at the bottom-right of the pop-up window.

  20. If you have added a row in error - move the scroll bar to the very right-hand side of the pop-up and click the 'X' next to the row you want to remove.

  21. Once you are finished editing this dataset - click 'Save' and then 'Close'.
