If you want to cancel any tasks you have assigned to others as an administrator, this is possible, as well as uncancelling or recovering tasks if they have been cancelled incorrectly or need to be reactivated.
Cancelling tasks
The process for cancelling and removing tasks differs slightly depending on whther your actions are for all users or specific users:
Cancelling tasks for all users:
As an administrator you may occasionally want to cancel a task for all users. To do this you:
Click ‘Administration’ at the top right of the Corterum home screen then click ‘Task Management’ on the bottom left side of the screen.
Navigate to the task you want to cancel.
Click the three horizontal dots next to the task you want to cancel then click ‘Cancel Task’.
Click ‘Confirm’ if you are sure you want to cancel the task for all users.
If you decide that you do not want to cancel it, click ‘Cancel’ and your task will remain live and unchanged.
Cancelling tasks for specific users:
Sometimes you will want to cancel tasks for specific users only, wile leaving the task active for others. To cancel a task for a single user you:
Click ‘Administration’ at the top right of the Corterum home screen and then click ‘Task Management’ on the bottom left side of the screen.
Navigate to the task you want to cancel.
Click the three horizontal dots next to the task you want to cancel then click ‘Open Task’.
Navigate to the field below ‘Deadline’ where you can see a list of users. Locate the user you want to cancel the task for and then click on the three horizontal dots next to their username.
Click ‘Cancel Task’. Click ‘Confirm’ if you are happy to remove it from that user’s task list.
If you decide that it needs to remain, click ‘Cancel’ and then ‘Close’.
Repeat steps 1-5 if you want to cancel the task for multiple users.
Recovering tasks
This can be done on a whole basis or a per-user basis as with the above cancellation methods, but the processes are different for each one:
Recovering cancelled tasks for all users:
You may accidentally delete a task for all users. If you do, don’t worry – you can recover it! To do this you:
Click ‘Administration’ at the top right of the Corterum home screen then click ‘Task Management’ on the bottom left side of the screen.
Look to the right side of the ‘Task Management’ screen where you will find two boxes that read ‘Outstanding Tasks’ and ‘Complete Tasks’. Click the ‘Complete Tasks’ box.
Navigate to the task you want to restore and then click on the three horizontal dots to the right of it.
Click ‘Open Task’ and then click ‘Recover Cancelled Users’ at the bottom of the ‘View Task panel’.
Click ‘Confirm’ if you are happy to restore the task for all users.
If not, click ‘Cancel’ and then click ‘Close’ and the task will remain deleted.
N.B- You cannot recover tasks that have been marked as ‘done’ by assigned users.
Recovering cancelled tasks for specific users:
You may accidentally cancel a task for specific users and want to restore it to them. To do this you:
Click ‘Administration’ at the top right of the Corterum home screen and then click ‘Task Management’ on the bottom left side of the screen.
Look to the right side of the screen where you will find two boxes that read ‘Outstanding Tasks’ and ‘Complete Tasks’. Click the ‘Complete Tasks’ box.
Navigate to the task you want to restore and then click on the three horizontal dots to the right of it.
Click ‘Open Task’ and navigate to the field under ‘Deadline’ where there is a list of users.
Locate the user that you want to restore the task for and then click on the three horizontal dots to the right of their username.
Click ‘Recover Task’ and then click ‘Confirm’ if you are sure that you want to restore the task to that user.
If you decide that you do not want to, click ‘Cancel’ and then click ‘Close’ and the task will remain cancelled for that user.
