How to conduct, view and edit a Consumer Duty value assessment

Conducting a fair value assessment

To conduct a Consumer Duty value assessment, follow these steps:

  1. Click on WORKBENCH and click CONSUMER DUTY

  2. Click on Value Assessments

  3. Click on the blue (+) button

  4. Enter a name for the value assessment (this can be amended later)

  5. Use the FVA produced by dropdown menu to select the firm(s) that have conducted the fair value assessment

  6. Use the Further Details text field to add any additional relevant information

  7. Use the Linked Product(s) dropdown menu to select the product(s) that this fair value assessment is relevant to. There is also a toggle on the right hand side of this menu that lets you indicate whether or not the product(s) provide fair value

  8. Use the date pickers to select the Valid From and Valid To dates for the fair value assessment

  9. Optionally, you can upload any documents necessary to support the fair value assessment

  10. When you're happy with your work, click SAVE

Editing a fair value assessment

You can access and edit a fair value assessment by following these steps:

  1. Click the three blue dots on the right side of a fair value assessment

  2. Click OPEN

  3. You can then edit any aspect of the fair value assessment.

  4. When you're happy with the changes, click SAVE

Deleting a fair value assessment

  1. Click the three blue dots on the right side of a fair value assessment

  2. Click DELETE

  3. You'll then be given a confirmation screen which will warn you that deleting a fair value assessment cannot be undone

  4. If you'd still like to continue with the deletion, click CONFIRM DELETE
