Here's how:
Click WORKBENCH and then click DATASETS.
Then click SM&CR.
Then choose Certification Regime.
Then click on Fit and Proper testing.
Then click on Fit and Proper Assessment Criteria.
Then click on Competence and capability.
Then click on Financial advisors
Then click on Permitted areas of advice.
A list of all Business entities (typically just one) for which you have recorded permitted areas of advice will appear (if any have been created).
If the business already has a log of their permitted areas of advice and you're adding a new entry or updating information already held within the system, click on that business name and skip to step 11.
If a record of permitted areas of advice for your business has not yet been created, you would need to create a new one - click the PLUS (+) symbol next to PERMITTED AREAS OF ADVICE in the middle of the screen.
A new pop up window will appear.
If this is a blank form, with no information in it currently, skip to step 13. Otherwise if there is already information here you can update it by clicking the EDIT button, or add a new entry by clicking ADD ROW and following the steps from step 14 below.
Use the dropdown box next to Permitted areas of advice confirm which business this record is for. (NB - if the business you are sending the request to doesn't appear in this list, you'll need to create it as a Business Entity first - here's how).
In the table dataset (reading from left to right), you can:
Use the Advisor name dropdown box to record the name of the person who's Permitted areas of advice you are recording.
Use the T&C Supervisor dropdown box to record the name of the person who is that individual's T&C supervisor.
Use the next 20 radio boxes from left to right (from PPNE to CCA debt liquidation) to confirm which areas the individual is permitted to give advice in.
Use the text box under Pre-Sale File Review Requirements to record details of these requirements.
Use the date picker under Last review date to record the date of the last review of these areas of advice.
Once done, if you need to add additional records of Permitted areas of advice for this business click ADD ROW and repeat the steps under point 15 above until all necessary matters have been recorded.
Once done, click SAVE, and then CLOSE.
